Antonio Mondonico Visits Cycles BiKyle

Italy’s legendary frame builder, Antonio Mondonico made a very special visit to Cycles BiKyle. Though Il Maestro had flown from Milan just the MondSigning.jpg (101566 bytes) day before and was suffering from some jet lag, he proved to be the life of the party.

 

Starting in mid-afternoon, Antonio demonstrated to us first-hand the custom fitting procedures that he and his dad have worked out over the past 70 years. Mondonico.jpg (562002 bytes) Following the fitting sessions, Cycles BiKyle treated everyone to a very nice wine and cheese party featuring vino of varied styles from every part of Italy. At the same time, Mr. Mondonico entertained the crowd with autographs and personal pictures galore. The highlight for many was the personal signing of the many Mondonico and Torelli frames that proudMondWalt.jpg (73060 bytes) owners brought by. It was agreed by all, this was a very special evening in which disparate cultures met to relax, enjoy, and honor the art of great bicycles.  Molto grazie il Signor Mondonico for a truly wonderful visit.
