Sram GPX ~
The GPX "Giga X Pipe"
bottom bracket system transfers the bearings outside the bottom bracket
shell for significantly increased stiffness. The GPX features a 24mm drive side
cup and bearing with a 22mm non-drive cup and bearing. This design transfers the
radial load to the drive side bearing for optimized bearing load and power
transfer while minimizing wear. The GPX design works only with GXP designed
cranksets from Sram and TruVativ. Available with English or Italian
threading.

FSA BB-30 Converter ~

Introduced as a new international standard, BB-30 utilizes a larger diameter
crank spindle and bottom bracket shell. Snap rings are inserted into inner
grooves in the shell and 42mm bearings are press fit
against the rings. BB-30 is an open standard that has been adopted by crank
manufacturers FSA, SRAM, and Zipp. This BB-30 converter slides into the sheill
and adapts any BB-30
frameset so it will accept traditional threaded bottom bracket cups. Once this
converter is slide into the frameset you can use traditional 68mm English
threaded bottom brackets as well as the newer 2-piece English threaded cranksets
from Campagnolo, Shimano, and all other upper end crank manufacturers ....

BB-86 Cupset ~

Made by Campagnolo to fit the new BB-86 framesets such as the 2011 Merckx
EMX-5. A Bb-86 frameset is built around an empty bottom bracket shell that is
86.5mm wide with a 41mm ID. Each cup has a 1.75mm wide shoulder that press
fits up against the outside of the bottom bracket shell. Shimano, FSA and SRAM
offer full bottom brackets to fit this shell while Campagnolo makes these
press-in adaptor cups to fit all their Ultra-Torque cranksets as well as Fulcrum
Racing-Torq cranks. This cupset does not include bearings because those come
with the crankset .... $54.99 pair

BB-91
and BB-92 ~
BB91 and BB92 are the terms for new mountain bike frames that have a bottom
bracket shell width of 91-92mm. A few companies using this standard instead have
a width dimension of 89.5mm. Like BB-86, the bearing cups are pressed into the
BB shell of the frame instead of being threaded. BB-91 and BB-92 bottom bracket
kits are available to fit all 2-piece MTB MegaExoŽ cranks that have 24mm
diameter spindles.
