As these wheels were coded with Zipp's mark as "not fit for resale" they were unserviceable and not covered under warranty. Be assured, ALL of our Zipp wheels are 100% direct from Zipp U.S.A. and certified "A" quality, completely covered by Zipp's warranty.

Included: All our Zipp wheels include top quality Zipp quick release skewers. Wheels with carbon braking surfaces also include a full set of Zipp cork brake pads.

Tour de France ~

Team CSC used ZIPP carbon wheels throughout the Tour de France on every stage under every condition of terrain and weather from the flat sprinters stages to the highest mountains and the time trials. With a mix of 303, 404, 808, and 909's the team had the ability to choose the type of wheel best suited to the day and the individual needs to each rider.

***Firecrest - Introduced in mid-2010 on the 404 wheels and added to the 808 wheels in 2011, wind tunnel tested Firecrest rims maintain their full width all the way from the tire to the spoke bed. This new design reduces turbulence at the wheel's leading edge. VcLc - (visco-elastic constrained layer control), and exclusive to Zipp VcLc technology reduces road vibration and muscle fatigue up to 10% so you can ride faster and longer.

M2CM - Unlike other makes, Zipp aluminum rims are not merely bonded to their carbon bases. Zipp rims go through an exclusive co-molding process that actually joins the aluminum and carbon into a single unified composite. M2CM produces remarkable wheels that are verifiably more durable than ever.

Zipp Pro hubs - Made in the USA, the 202gr rear and 84gr front hubs are truly state-of-the-art. Using a custom Swiss-type watch lathe from Citizen, the hub shell and axle are precision machined from proprietary heat treated 7075 aluminum. Advances in bearing technology allow a 20% decrease in weight while bearing contact area is increased 50% over previous models. The bearings are manufactured in ultra-precision matched sets to a tolerance of less than 10 millionths of an inch in size and sphericity. Each bearing set is fitted with a custom Teflon thermoplastic self-lubricating retainer that significantly reduces friction over steel or brass retainers used in other cartridge type bearings. Zipp Quick Releases Skewers ~    Now included with each Zipp wheelset!

These are ultra light and strong skewers that really work! Available with stainless steel shafts at 84 grams per pair or titanium shafts at just 62 grams per pair! The levers and nuts are polished black on the stainless set and titanium gray on the Ti set. Logos are laser-etched. Zipp 808 Firecrest Extra Deep-V ~

New all-carbon "Firecrest" rim shape for decreased turbulence and increased steering control

Now fully carbon in both the clincher and tubular versions!!! By removing the outer aluminum band the clincher wheels compete very favorably with the tubular version in both weight and ride. The tubulars are still a bit lighter, smoother, and more comfortable, but the difference has been narrowed very significantly!

The extra deep 808 wheelset is at least 24 seconds faster for a 40K level route than any other non-disc wheelset on the planet other than the 1080s! Faster, lighter, and more controllable than any 3-spoke wheelset ever made, the 808s are a devastatingly fast set of wheels for time trial or triathlon regardless of wind conditions! This is our most popular combination for serious time trialing and triathlon racing in all conditions. The extra deep rear 808 actually pushes a rider forward while the deep front 404 provides secure handling even in windy conditions. Introduced in 2009, the Zipp 808/404 Toroidal Combo features an extra deep 81mm rear 808 all-carbon tubular rim mated to a 58mm all carbon 404 front tubular rim for real breakaway speed in road races, time trials, and triathlon. This is a particularly good choice for races with moderately difficult climbing as well riders that are less secure in windy conditions. Wheel size is 700c only. Zipp 101 ~

The 101’s centerpiece is the first fully toroidal aluminum rim, developed in the wind tunnel with a proprietary profile curve extending across the braking surfaces. With this patented design, the 30mm-deep 101 can exceed the aerodynamic performance of V-shaped rims with much deeper aero profiles. And no shallow-profile design comes close to the 101 in the wind tunnel or on the road, where the 101 can save up to 42 seconds over 40km compared to the industry's benchmark aluminum wheelset.

The 101 is built by hand in Speedway, Indiana, with the same components as Zipp's top-of-the-line carbon wheelsets. The 101 is laced with 18 front and 20 rear Sapim CX-Ray spokes and Zipp’s 88 and 188 hubs with Swiss steel bearings. The hubs are manufactured in Indiana using the proprietary Z310.9 alloy, and feature oversize 17mm axles and adjustable bearing preload. Weight is 1527 grams per wheelset. Zipp Disc Wheels ~

The Super-9 is an extra stiff version of the revolutionary Sub-9. It's 15% stiffer than a Sub-9 and a whopping 40% stiffer than the 900 disc. The tire bed is a couple millimeters wider than a Sub-9 so it nicely fits 21-23mm tires. Like the Sub-9, the Super-9 actually generates forward lift as it rotates. Weight is a mere 995 grams! Zipp 900 and 840 Disc ~

Zipp discs are a marvel of technology. Manufactured completely flat and only 19mm in total cross section for the smallest frontal section out there. The carbon skins are cured over a honeycomb core to guarantee maximum airflow over the disc surface and greatly cut air turbulence around the vital drivetrain area. The brand new and patented ABLC technology, with 4900 dimples per disc, reduces drag to the lowest level ever.

The Zipp 900 disc fits 700c tires and is available in tubular (glue-on) or clincher versions. The 650c (26") version, called an 840, is available in tubular only.
