BiKyle Custom Stems ~

We make custom cromoly stems to fit any need, any size. Individually handmade to your precise dimensions then beautifully painted in the Dupont Imron color of your choice. Flawlessly fillet brazed of the finest cromoly steel, we do threadless and quill. In the "Special Instructions" field, as it comes up, tell us the Imron color you desire. Approximate weight of threadless is 210 grams and quill stem is 290 grams.

Info on quill stems: the vertical bolt on a normal quill is 5.5" long. An extra long bolt, 7" end-to-end, is also available. Generally, it is better to raise the angle rather than raise the quill length. That makes for a stiffer, stronger front end. However, we can do whichever you think will work best for you.

We measure angles from 90 degrees. Track Sprint stems are typically in the negative 25 to 20 range. Classic road stems are negative 17 to 5. Triathlon stems are most frequently 0 to postive 5. Mountain bike stems are usually 0 to positive 15 or more. What is this crazy stem for? With its adjustable height of minus 12cm (4.7") to plus 12cm and its adjustable length from 0 to 150 mm, the Look ErgoStem has nearly countless uses. If you've never found that perfect spot on the front end of your bike or if your back requires that you move to many different positions during a longer ride then this easily adjusted stem can be a real lifesaver. The 4-bolt front clamp fits all 1" or 1 1/8" threadless bikes and all 31.8 OS road handlebars including carbon bars. Also works on threaded forks with the adapter below. The ErgoStem weighs 400 grams so after you dial in your perfect position we can build you a matching custom stem that is lighter. Don't let the great price fool you, this is one of the lightest, strongest, and best looking stems on the market! Produced using a state-of-the-art Tri-dimensional (3D) forging process that yields a far stronger and lighter stem than previous fabrication systems, the Bormio is an excellent upgrade for any road bike. The stem graphics allow for reversing the stem for adjustable fit of plus/minus 6 degrees. The clamp size is for oversized (31.8) bars only. The bar clamping bolts are a big 28mm apart to give a firm and rigid bar/stem assembly. Shim is included so it fits both 1" and 1 1/8" steerer tubes.

TTT THE Stem ~

This is an excellent value in a quality road stem. Hot forged of AL 6061 T6 aluminum alloy, the THE weighs just 190 grams in a 110mm length. You can flip it for a standard -16 drop or a positive 17 degrees for an extra high rise. The front plate flips with two easily accessed hex bolts. The twin rear bolts clamp to either 1" or 1 1/8" threadless steering tubes. Fits all 26.0 standard sized handlebars. Color is flat black.

This is an exceptional value in a quality road stem. Hot forged of AL 6061 T6 aluminum alloy, the ITM Racer weighs just 180 grams in a 110mm length. Cinelli XA stem -

Yes, we have these legendary stems in both current 26.0 and traditional 26.4 clamp size!

The XA uses a hidden clamp bolt easily accessed from the rear of the pinch area. And, the XA has that jazzy black Cinelli logo inserted on the front of the stem. Color is silver.

26.4 and 26.0 clamp sizes: The traditional Cinelli clamp size was 26.4. That matches a 26.4mm center on the traditional handlebar. During the 1990s the traditional clamp size of Cinelli gave way to the 26.0 center as used by TTT, ITM, Deda, and most others. You can use a 26.0 stem on a 26.4 bar, but it's a tight squeeze. However, you cannot use a 26.4 stem on a 26.0 bar as it is likely to slip during usage. Use a micrometer to verify the center clamp diameter of your handlebar before ordering.

Traditional Cinelli 26.4 clamp diameter:

Zoom Stem Converter ~

Convert your older "quill style" stem into the more contemporary threadless system. Just insert this adapter into your 1" threaded steerer tube then clamp any current 1 1/8" threadless stem to it. The finished product looks and performs just like any threadless system.

Stem Raiser - Threadless ~

Would you like to raise the front end of your bike with ease and little expense? That's just what these handy gizmos do. Just remove your old threadless stem, put this extension in then put your old stem back on the top of this guy. Presto, your upper body will now sit 2" to 3.3" higher depending on adjustment! Zoom is pictured on right, always silver. Dimension, pictured on right may be silver or black depending on supply.

(Caution - you may need to have longer cables and housings installed to fit your new higher position. It just depends on how much extra cable length you have before you add the raiser.)
