The Look 596 was created for all time trialists and triathletes where aerodynamics are crucial. Tested at the wind tunnel at Magny Cours in Nevers, France, each tube of the 596 is positioned to optimize the air flow between the rider and bike together in MOTION. The 596 improves the aerodynamics of the legendary 496 by a whopping 10%! The Look engineers achieved this by integrating the bottom bracket and downtube in one continuous sweep. Additionally, the seat tube to rear tire position was finely tuned to prevent slowdown due to rear turbulence backup. The 596 is created with 3 separate monobloks: the front triangle is integrated with the seatpost and the 2 halves of the rear are mated together using a new flat-carbon plate surface for greater road contact and added stiffness. The specially designed offset monoblade carbon fork acts as a legal front end fairing! Includes vibration dampening Look R32 high modulus carbon seatpost with 3 elastomer blocks of different durometer levels and is reversible +/- 3.2 cm for a perfect Tri or time trial fit.

Frameset and i-Pack includes the revolutionary carbon monobloc ZED II crankset. These crankarms weigh a mere 320 grams! And, they are adjustable to 170, 172.5, and 175 lengths via a patented pedal cam. Fits either regular 130mm or compact 110mm chainrings (not included). Also includes Look Blade pedals with cromoly axles that optimize the mating of pedals to cranks for the stiffest, most efficient drivetrain on the planet. Constructed by hand in true 1-piece Ultra-High Modulus carbon, Look has used their 20 years of carbon experience to create a feather-weight frame without compromising overall rigidity or ride performance. The 576 weighs a mere 1100 grams with uncut seat tube! A true monocoque frame, the rear dropouts are directly compressed into the frame when both the seat and chainstays are molded, resulting in a single-piece rear triangle. This provides a lighter and stiffer frame at the wheel transfer, where it counts most. A replaceable derailleur hanger means repairs are a snap. The patented new headset design allows for independent adjustment of the headset even when the stem is removed. And, it saves another 40 grams in weight because no compression plug is needed. The included seatpost uses elastomer blocks to dampen ride vibration while providing valuable aerodynamics. Three different sets of elastomers are included with each frame so you can customize your ride. Also includes a Look HSC-6 single-piece molded carbon fork that weighs a mere 350 grams yet still meets the New EN 14781 standard for impact strength. The superb 576 frame returns unchanged for 2012 except for color, and the formerly integrated seat post has been changed to a carbon-aero post with conventional seat clamp. The parts have been changed from Sram Rival to Shimano 105 in order to provide an even more attractive price. Color is black and white with acid green contrast (as pictured).
