Along with the huge interest in offroad riding brought about by the advent of the mountain bike, there has developed a similar increase in interest in genuine cyclocross and cross-hybrid bikes. Lighter and quicker than mountain bikes, cross frames allow offroaders a chance to negotiate the difficult terrain of the mountain bike, yet without sacrificing the nimble handling and control the road bike has perfected. And, they are the perfect choice for commuters as well!
